There are many different aspects of the music influence in Lakeville, Massachusetts. With the different cultural roots, such as Irish, English, and Italian, the music that has evolved in the town of Lakeville has also shown its culture of today. Lakeville, as you hear around the town in houses, cars, and parties, is most likely to be listening to genres such as country, pop, or rock. As time has evolved, however, there are genres also being listened to, which consist of indie and jazz. Lakeville is a small town in which music impacts all of its citizens.
The marching band of the local high school, Apponequet Regional High School, is also a big factor that impacts the town. Many of the students of the high school participate in the high school's band, also competing in local competitions against other high schools. The school's chorus also has a substantial amount of members. As apposed to these things, there are a lot of other musical influences in town. There are a couple of bands and single artists made up from teenagers and young adults that play at local churches, coffeehouses, etc. For example, a student that graduated from Apponequet has thrived as a rap artist in the past couple of years. The highs cool also holds an event named "MADD Nite" that allows students to show off their talents, mostly of which are being singing and/or playing an instrument. Music is a large factor of Lakeville, Massachusetts. |
