Lakeville, Massachusetts is a small town of approximately 10,000 people. The town of Lakeville is part of the Plymouth County, and was created in 1853. Lakeville was originally a part of Middleborough, Massachusetts as a western parish; however, in 1853, it parted and became its own town. With the help of the amount of lakes, it was named Lakeville, appropriately. With in the years from then to now, Lakeville has stayed agricultural and an outer suburb. The population has increased about 9,000 people since the founding of the town.
